Granola

Granola is an AI notepad built for people who move between back-to-back meetings. Instead of joining calls as a visible bot, it captures audio directly from the user's device, transcribes it locally in real time, and deletes the audio file afterward. During a meeting, users type their own rough notes as usual; once the call ends, Granola merges those notes with what it heard to produce a fuller, organized summary with decisions and action items. The company describes this as human-in-the-loop: a note like 'pricing concerns' prompts Granola to pull every related quote from the transcript rather than generating notes from scratch. The app also builds pre-meeting briefs with attendee background and prior conversation history, drafts follow-up emails, and offers a chat feature scoped to a user's meeting history.
