Poised

Poised is a communication coaching tool that watches how someone speaks during a video call and gives them feedback while the meeting is still happening. It runs quietly in the background during calls on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, and other conferencing tools, tracking things like how much of the conversation the user dominates, filler-word use, hedging language, energy, empathy, and pace, and surfacing gentle in-the-moment nudges when those metrics drift. Users can also set live speaker notes that track agenda points as they're covered, so they don't lose their place mid-presentation. After the call ends, Poised generates a summary with action items and a trend report so users can see whether their communication metrics are improving over weeks or months. It's aimed at people whose job depends on how they come across live, such as executives, product managers, founders, salespeople, and job candidates preparing for interviews. Other participants on the call aren't notified that Poised is running. The company, Poised, Inc., says it has more than 100,000 users, including people from Slack, Accenture, Dropbox, and Stanford. The tool runs as a Mac and Windows desktop app only, with no mobile version; the paid Pro tier costs $19 a month, or less billed annually.
