Skinive

Skinive is a mobile app from Amsterdam-based Skinive B.V. that uses AI image analysis to help people track skin health. Users photograph moles, rashes, acne, or other marks with real-time camera guidance, and the app screens for more than 55 skin conditions, returning a risk-level assessment and a recommendation for next steps, such as seeing a dermatologist. Beyond single-photo checks, Skinive offers 3D full-body mole mapping so a user can track how specific moles change across scheduled self-checks over time, useful for catching changes that are easy to miss without a photographic record. The company describes the software as CE-marked and developed with dermatologists, and says it has been partly funded by the EU's Horizon 2020 program. Skinive reports more than a million users and a 4.8-star average rating. The app is available on iOS and Android, and Skinive also offers a Dermatology AI API so other companies, such as telemedicine platforms, can build the same skin-analysis capability into their own products. Skinive is positioned as a screening and monitoring aid rather than a diagnostic replacement; the company does not claim the app substitutes for a clinical diagnosis from a doctor.
