Mito

Mito is a spreadsheet interface that lives inside Jupyter notebooks and turns every point-and-click edit — filtering, pivoting, merging, graphing — into the equivalent pandas code automatically. Instead of writing analysis code from scratch, users manipulate data the way they would in Excel and get back runnable, editable Python they can keep using after the session ends. The tool is aimed at data analysts who know spreadsheets but not necessarily Python, and at data scientists and ML engineers who want to speed up exploratory analysis without giving up code. Beyond the core sheet-to-code workflow, Mito adds an AI chat assistant for data questions and one-click error correction with explanations, and it connects to more than 20 databases and warehouses, including Snowflake, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, plus cloud storage like S3 and Google Drive. Mito emphasizes a privacy-first setup: it runs on the user's own infrastructure and lets teams bring their own API keys for Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure, or AWS rather than routing data through a third party by default.
