Mediar builds AI agents that automate repetitive desktop workflows on Windows applications without needing an API. A user demonstrates a task once — such as reconciling data in SAP, filling out a form, or moving data from a PDF into a spreadsheet — and Mediar's agent learns the steps by reading the interface through the operating system's accessibility APIs, the same layer screen readers use. Because it doesn't rely on pixel matching, it can automate legacy systems with no API at all, including SAP GUI, Oracle EBS, mainframe terminals, and healthcare systems like Epic and Cerner. Learned workflows run in the cloud around the clock, with a dashboard for monitoring execution success and cost savings; the company states 99.9% reliability and self-healing behavior when a target application's interface changes. It targets back-office teams doing manual data entry, invoice processing, and insurance claims in finance, healthcare, and legal settings — work traditional RPA tools handle but that breaks easily when a UI updates. Mediar is priced by runtime at $0.75 per minute rather than per seat, plus a $10,000 turn-key onboarding fee converted into usage credits. The company raised a $2.8M seed round in July 2025 backed by Founders Inc and Seed Club Ventures, and maintains an open-source component called Terminator on GitHub. It is currently Windows-only, with SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001 certifications still in progress.
