Hearth

Hearth is a shared workspace for families, built by Bear, a company that also makes AI assistants for construction teams. Inside a Hearth workspace, family members store notes and documents and work alongside an AI assistant that can write small, interactive mini-apps directly in the workspace — for example, a budget tracker or a meal planner — rather than just answering questions in a chat window. The product is aimed at households that want one shared place for family logistics and are comfortable letting an AI agent edit that shared space directly. A stated safety feature is that every change the AI makes is reversible through full edit history, which matters more here than in a typical single-user tool since multiple family members and an AI agent can all modify the same notes. Hearth Standard costs $12 per month and includes $8 of AI usage credit each month; new users get a one-time $5 trial credit that covers AI costs at cost with no time limit and no forced subscription. One limitation is that the AI's usefulness is capped by that monthly credit allowance, so families with heavy day-to-day AI use may need to budget around it or upgrade.
