Dia
AI-native browser from The Browser Company for tab-aware browsing.
About Dia
Dia is an AI-native web browser built by The Browser Company, the team previously behind Arc. Announced in December 2024 as Arc's successor, it went into public beta in June 2025. Soon after, The Browser Company was acquired by Atlassian for $610 million and shifted its engineering focus from Arc to Dia. Rather than the panel-heavy, power-user layout of Arc, Dia keeps a layout close to Chrome or Safari and pushes AI into a sidebar that stays present across sites. It can summarize open tabs and answer questions about them, generate a "Morning Brief" of your calendar, inbox, and key links at startup, and pull scattered context from Slack, Google Workspace, and other connected tools into shareable synthesis reports or auto-built presentation decks. For meetings, it preloads agendas, notes, and related documents; separate work and personal profiles keep logins and tab sets apart, and the browser includes tracker and ad blocking. Dia targets knowledge workers who want AI woven into everyday browsing instead of a separate chat window. A paid Dia Pro tier launched in August 2025 at $20 per month for expanded AI usage, and a "Dia for Work" edition adds SSO and admin tools. The browser currently runs only on Apple macOS 14+ with M1 or newer chips, with no Windows, Linux, or mobile release yet.
