Calorieasy

Calorieasy is a mobile calorie-tracking app from T31 Labs that uses an AI photo model, which the company calls Avoquadro, to estimate calories and macronutrients from a picture of a meal. Instead of manually searching a food database, users take a photo and the app logs the meal automatically with a date and time stamp, then breaks down the macronutrient content. A built-in calculator helps calibrate daily calorie targets based on the user's goals, and weekly charts let people track how their eating pattern changes over time. The app launched on Product Hunt, where it reached #1 Product of the Week in the Health & Fitness category, and had over 5,000 users at that point. It's available on both iOS and Android. A free tier covers the core photo-logging and tracking features, while a Pro subscription — $9.99 a month or $69 a year — adds unlimited photo scans, more detailed analytics, and priority support. The site states that Calorieasy collects only the personal data strictly necessary to run the app, namely email address and basic personal stats like weight or activity level. As with any AI-based food recognition tool, calorie and macro estimates from a single photo are approximations rather than precise lab measurements, and the app's accuracy for mixed or unusual dishes isn't detailed on the site.
