Users answer a roughly three-minute questionnaire, with follow-up questions adjusted based on biological sex, age, and medical history, and receive a personalized report listing possible causes along with a recommendation on whether self-care, a pharmacy visit, or seeing a doctor is appropriate. The service also includes a "Doctor's Note" feature that surfaces expert-written answers to common questions, and specialized checkup flows for specific conditions such as asthma. Ubie says its recommendations draw on input from more than 50 medical experts worldwide and over 50,000 clinical data sources, and cites an independent study finding 71.6% top-10 accuracy for its symptom predictions. The platform is also connected to a network of more than 900 medical institutions. Ubie operates in multiple countries, including Japan and the United States, and is available as a web app and as an Android app on Google Play, where it was recognized in a "Best With AI" award in 2023. No credit card is required to use it. Because it is a symptom checker rather than a diagnostic tool, it is meant to guide someone toward the right type of care, not replace an actual medical evaluation.
