About Slaide
Slaide is a presentation format and toolchain built around the idea that AI, not humans, should write the first draft of a deck. Instead of a binary file, a Slaide presentation is a plain-text `.slaide` file combining Markdown content with YAML-based themes, which the platform can export to a web deck, a print-ready PDF, or an editable PowerPoint file from the same source. Existing `.pptx` files can also be imported and converted into the editable `.slaide` format. Because the format is just text, Slaide integrates directly with AI coding agents including Claude, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and Windsurf through an MCP server, letting an agent draft or edit a presentation the same way it would edit code. The platform supports transitions, builds, speaker notes, embedded video and audio, SVG graphics, and live embeds, along with reusable YAML themes for consistent styling. Viewers are available on the web, as a native desktop app, and as an iPhone app. Slaide is published by AIVory, Inc., with its core components released as Apache-2.0 open source. Pricing includes a free tier with one AI-generated deck, a $3.99 24-hour Day Pass for four decks, and a $6.90/month hosted plan for ten AI decks, listed as launch pricing.
