prg.ai

prg.ai is a Prague-based non-profit association working to grow the Czech Republic's artificial intelligence ecosystem. Founded in 2019 by academics from the Czech Technical University, Charles University, and the Czech Academy of Sciences, with support from the City of Prague, it positions itself as a hub connecting AI companies, researchers, students, investors, and public institutions across the country. The organization maintains a map of the local AI landscape, tracking more than 150 companies, over 50 research groups, dozens of venture capital firms and accelerators, and a range of educational programs and communities. It coordinates the prg.ai Minor, a joint AI education program run with the Czech Technical University and Charles University, and distributes the Elements of AI online course in Czech. prg.ai also co-organizes the country's largest AI festival and administers its only dedicated AI awards. Membership includes more than 40 partner organizations spanning academia, industry, and government. As a non-profit rather than a commercial software product, prg.ai does not offer an app, API, or paid plans; its value comes from ecosystem mapping, events, and education rather than a technical tool. One limitation of this research is that the site does not clearly name comparable peer organizations to reference as alternatives.
