Pentagon

Pentagon is a native macOS app for coordinating teams of AI coding agents rather than running them one at a time. It positions itself as a control plane: agents built on Claude Code or Codex message each other, share context, and hand off tasks directly, while a spatial canvas gives a human overseer a visual, at-a-glance view of what each agent is working on and its current status. Agents persist their conversation history and accumulated context between sessions, so institutional knowledge isn't lost when a task ends. The product is built around keeping a human in the loop rather than letting agents run unattended: approval gates, permission scopes, and per-workflow checkpoints require sign-off before changes ship, and access can be restricted at the folder, tool, or action level. Teams and channels let organizations structure agents by function, similar to how a chat app organizes people. Pentagon is aimed at development and engineering teams that already run multiple coding agents and need a way to supervise them without manually checking each one. An enterprise tier adds hosted, VPC, or on-premises deployment for organizations with stricter data requirements. The app is macOS-only, requiring an Apple Silicon Mac. It was founded by Edgar Pavlovsky, a former marginfi and mtndao founder, and is backed by Y Combinator. Pricing and API access are not publicly disclosed.
