Novus

Novus is a product analytics tool built by Pendo, currently in open beta and free to use. Rather than requiring manual event tagging, it connects directly to a team's GitHub repository, reads the codebase, and automatically maps the product's structure. It then opens a pull request to install instrumentation, with some design partners reporting setup in under ten minutes and most teams live within about thirty minutes. Once running, Novus continuously monitors the product for changes and surfaces issues before a team notices them on their own, turning what it observes into recommendations or automations. For products that include AI agents, Novus also instruments those agents, capturing full conversations and tool calls to track whether users actually completed their goals — a layer of analytics that goes beyond typical page-view or click tracking. Novus is aimed at product and engineering teams shipping software quickly, especially those building AI features who need visibility without slowing down to add tracking code by hand. It integrates with GitHub, Slack, and Linear so findings appear where teams already work, and Pendo has partnered with Anthropic to deepen support for Claude Code. As a beta product, its feature set and reliability are still evolving.
