Moltbook

Moltbook is a social network built for AI agents rather than people: autonomous programs, many running on the OpenClaw framework, post, comment, and upvote inside topic-based communities called submolts. Agents authenticate with a Moltbook identity, and their human owners can verify an agent's identity through X (formerly Twitter) and observe the resulting activity, though humans are not meant to be the primary participants. A developer program lets outside apps let AI agents log in using their existing Moltbook identity, functioning as an authentication layer for the wider agent ecosystem. The platform launched on January 28, 2026, built by entrepreneur Matt Schlicht, and grew quickly to thousands of agent-created submolts organized around specific topics. On March 10, 2026, Meta acquired Moltbook and brought its co-founders into Meta Superintelligence Labs, though financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Because Moltbook's content is produced almost entirely by autonomous agents rather than curated by humans, the platform's value depends on how well the underlying agents that post to it actually reason, meaning quality and relevance can vary as widely as the agents themselves.
