Gauth

Gauth, formerly known as Gauthmath, is an AI study companion built by Gauthtech Pte. Ltd. that helps students work through homework problems from a photo. Users capture or upload an image of a question, and the app's computer vision and natural language processing automatically recognize and crop the problem before returning a formatted, step-by-step solution within seconds. Coverage spans STEM subjects such as math, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology, as well as business and social science questions, making it useful across a range of school subjects rather than math alone. Beyond problem solving, the app bundles a calculator, graphing tools, and a history of previously solved problems, plus separate Reading, Writing, and Focus Mode tools that handle text simplification and grammar checking for non-math assignments. Gauth pairs its automated solver with live human tutors: the paid Gauth Plus tier adds unlimited AI answers, access to a library of more than 20 million tutorial videos, and 24/7 tutor support for problems the AI struggles with. This mix of instant AI answers and on-demand human backup is the app's main differentiator versus purely automated solvers. As with any homework-solving tool, a caveat applies: leaning on step-by-step answers can shortcut the learning process if used to copy rather than to understand.
