Rayvox Studio

Rayvox Studio is a vocal practice app from Rayvox Limited, a UK company that also sells singing straws and other voice-care products. It builds a daily session around your own voice: a warm-up, something to work on and a cool-down, all cut to your range, in five, 10 or 20 minutes. While you sing, your pitch is drawn live over the guide notes, and a score card after each exercise shows which notes were held, close or off. Beyond the daily session, the app has a course of 75 lessons in 15 units, with breath timers, sing-alongs and held-note checks, and a library of 84 exercises that play in your key. A feature called Coaching Notes takes a recording of a lesson with your teacher and returns it in chapters with the teacher's cues, homework and a play-along at three-quarter speed. It suits singers of any level, including those who take lessons. Rayvox says that during sing-alongs only your pitch is heard and nothing is recorded. The free plan is a real plan, not a trial, with 40 exercises and the 25 Foundations lessons. The full library, custom key settings and more Coaching Notes need Studio Pro, which is priced in pounds and costs more on Google Play than on iPhone or the web.
